Our History

1880s Jacksonport CottageAs you can see in the images below, many changes have taken place at 6275 Hwy 57 since the Jacksonport Cottage opened in Jacksonport in 1984. From the early photo taken in 1882 through the major renovations of 2002-2006 and 2019-2020 great efforts were taken to restore the home as the old logs were uncovered. The living area on the left was completely replaced as that part of the structure was not logs but was made up of several add-ons that had taken place in the early 1900’s.

New OwnersJacksonport Cottage, now owned by Amy and John Burris, is located at 6275 Hwy 57 in Jacksonport and features the original work of over 100 artists. The shop occupies the original main floor of an 1860’s era log home that has been restored. A visit to the Jacksonport Cottage will bring you back to the nostalgic “good ole days” when gift items were handcrafted by artists who took great pride in their work.
